Location: Odessa TX Type: Full time General Information/Job Summary The HR Specialist is responsible for reviewing and auditing employee documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, particularly related to Per Diem eligibility and employment authorization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining data integrity, identifying discrepancies or potential fraud, and supporting I-9 Form processes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains strict confidentiality, and demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities/Competencies Audit employee-submitted documentation to verify eligibility for Per Diem in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements Review and process Form I-9 documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal guidelines Identify inconsistencies, discrepancies, or potentially fraudulent documents and escalate issues as appropriate Maintain organized and accurate records of all reviewed documentation Collaborate with HR, payroll, and compliance teams to resolve documentation issues and ensure timely processing Utilize Excel (including functions such as VLOOKUP) to track, analyze, and reconcile employee data Meet tight deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Communicate effectively with Field Office Managers and internal stakeholders regarding documentation requirements and discrepancies Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements 1-3 years of experience in HR, compliance, auditing, or a related role In office position, M-F 8-5pm Familiarity with Form I-9 processes and employment eligibility verification requirements Strong ability to detect discrepancies and identify potentially fraudulent documents, attention to detail is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information Saulsbury Industries provides engineering, general construction, electrical & instrumentation, and fabrication services to heavy industrial markets.
