C & B Operations is searching for a Director of HR who has a strong background in employee relations, benefits, performance management, policies and safety. Make an immediate impact at our Sioux Falls location and travel (25%) to our 36 locations. We are searching for a hands-on leader who is ready for a new challenge.

Essential Duties:
- Perform positive and timely customer service functions by responding to employee requests, questions, and proactively finding solutions
- Build a rapport and act a trusted business partner to the leadership team
- Efficiently and independently investigate complex employee relations issues
- Oversee health and welfare plans including enrollments, changes and terminations
- Maintain HRIS (UKG) system records and compile reports from the database
- Manage the HR, Payroll and Safety team (5 employees)
- Identify areas of opportunity for leadership training and facilitate training programs accordingly
- Administer family medical leave and ensure state leave law compliance
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
- 8+ years of recent human resources experience, 3+ years as a Director
- 5+ years of managing a team and overseeing multiple locations
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred
- Previous experience managing a team (minimum 3 people)
- Ability to communicate effectively and build trust with all employees
- Travel to locations as needed (up to 25%)
- PHR or SPHR preferred
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
