HR Assistant (Bilingual Spanish) Immediate Need

A well-established and growing organization in Long Island City, NY is seeking a motivated HR Assistant to join its Human Resources team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to gain hands-on experience in employee relations and labor relations while working alongside an experienced HR team.

Location: Long Island City, NY (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25$27/hour

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources team with a focus on employee and labor relations activities.
  • Assist with employee relations investigations, including documenting interviews, organizing case files, and maintaining confidential records.
  • Partner closely with the HR Generalist to coordinate meetings, prepare documentation, and track follow-up actions.
  • Support labor relations processes, including grievance tracking, disciplinary documentation, and compliance-related activities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records in accordance with company policies and employment regulations.
  • Assist with communication between employees, management, and HR to ensure timely resolution of workplace matters.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications
  • 12 years of Human Resources experience required.
  • Exposure to employee relations or labor relations strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
