The Human Resources Generalist partners closely with senior HR leadership to foster and sustain a company culture focused on employee engagement, high performance, and alignment with business goals. This role supports a broad range of HR functions, including payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance. The Human Resources Generalist also serves as an employee advocate and change agent, helping drive positive organizational development and workforce effectiveness.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Administer day-to-day human resources operations, including employee records, HR systems, and personnel documentation.
  • Support recruitment efforts by posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and assisting with hiring decisions.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and exit processes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and general employment questions.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee communication.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Support employee relations matters by helping address workplace concerns, conducting follow-up, and documenting issues appropriately.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including review cycles, coaching support, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate training and development activities to support employee growth and organizational needs.
  • Prepare HR reports, track metrics, and help analyze workforce data such as turnover, staffing, and performance trends.
  • Support compensation-related processes, including job descriptions, pay changes, and market data coordination.
  • Partner with managers to support organizational changes, workforce planning, and other HR initiatives.
  • Provides excellent customer service to our employee population by acting as a resource to the workforce while modeling Trelleborg’s core values and acting as a champion of company culture.
  • Contributes to the development and realization of department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Works with third party administrator for FMLA/STD leaves to ensure compliance.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of employment programs; collaborates internally to ensure proper annual reporting.
  • Actively participates in the planning and execution of employee/community events.
  • Create and maintains work instructions for department processes.
  • Serves as a backup to other HR functions as needed.
  • Other tasks or special projects as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business or other related field.
  • Minimum 2 years Human Resources related experience preferred
  • SHRM/PHR Certification a plus
