Position Summary: The Judging & Talent Team Member (Recruiting) plays a key role in supporting the growth and quality of the Judging & Talent department at OneBeat Dance Brands. This position is responsible for helping source, evaluate, and recruit judges who reflect the standard of excellence and professionalism expected across all OneBeat events. This role is highly detail-oriented and process-driven, requiring strong organizational skills and clear, thoughtful communication. The ideal candidate is passionate about the dance industry and understands the importance of building a strong, diverse, and reliable judging roster. By partnering closely with internal teams and engaging directly with applicants, this role helps ensure a consistent and elevated experience for studios, dancers, and event staff. Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Hiring

  • Review and evaluate incoming judge applications with a strong focus on alignment with OneBeat standards and brand values
  • Conduct first- and second-round interviews, assessing candidates qualifications, professionalism, and communication skills
  • Review applicant critiques and provide clear, constructive feedback to candidates in a timely manner
  • Identify and recommend top candidates for final review by the Judging & Talent Manager

Pipeline & Outreach Support

  • Assist in sourcing new judge candidates through outreach efforts, referrals, and industry connections
  • Support the ongoing management of the judge application pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and communication with all applicants
  • Help maintain accurate and organized records of applicant status, feedback, and hiring decisions

Collaboration & Process Support

  • Partner with the Judging & Talent team to ensure consistency in evaluation standards and hiring practices
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruiting processes, tools, and communication templates
  • Support additional administrative or recruiting-related tasks as needed to ensure the success of the department

Qualifications:
  • 13 years of experience in event coordination, talent management, or performing arts administration.
  • 35 years of dance competition judging experience, with a strong understanding of scoring, critiques, and industry expectations
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning internal systems (OneBeat Reg, Ramp, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a range of team members and talent.
  • Knowledge of or experience in the dance competition/convention industry required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information
  • Flexible availability, including the ability to work extended or non-traditional hours when needed
