Position Overview The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, policy development, recordkeeping, employee training and staff events. Key Responsibilities Oversee employee onboarding, training and development, performance management, and performance evaluation processes. Establish new HR processes and streamline existing systems to improve efficiency, consistency, and staff experience. Review, manage, and maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions across the organization. Manage employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate. Support the development and implementation of policies, practices, and systems that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across the organization. Provide coaching, guidance, and mediation support to employees and supervisors on matters related to roles, responsibilities, workplace expectations, performance, and professional development. Lead the distribution, communication, and implementation of organizational policies through the Employee Handbook, policy documents, staff communications, and employee training. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommend best practices and review policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Support benefits administration and benefits negotiation, including reviewing plan options, coordinating with vendors, and helping ensure employees understand available benefits. Develop long-term HR strategies and key initiatives that support employee success, organizational effectiveness, staff retention, and a positive workplace culture.
