Job Title: Nursing Onboarding Specialist
Location: Pennypack, Northeast PhiladelphiaJob Type: Temporary Duration: 2 monthsDepartment: Human Resources
Pay Rate: $25/hr. - $28/hr.
Schedule: Monday Friday, 9 am- 5pm.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Temporary Nursing Onboarding Specialist to provide short-term support in coordinating and facilitating the onboarding and hiring process for newly hired nursing staff. This position plays a key role in ensuring that new RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other clinical staff are well-prepared and integrated into the team is a short period of time. The ideal candidate has a background in efficiently onboarding new hires in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the full onboarding process for new hires for the nursing department in a short period of time.
- Serve as a point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period.
- Track onboarding progress, collect required credentials, and maintain onboarding checklists.
- Contant follow-ups with all new hires to complete pre-employment screenings, required documentation, and background checks that are required.
- Schedule all new hires for orientation.
- Address questions or challenges from new hires to support their success and retention.
- Track onboarding tasks, documentation, and training completion within HRIS systems.
- Maintain accurate records of I-9s, licenses, certifications, and background checks in compliance with regulations.
- Gather feedback from new employees and recommend process improvements to enhance the onboarding experience.
- Ensure consistent professionalism in all onboarding activities and communications.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in onboarding staff in healthcare, senior care, or a regulated industry
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to transition new hires into the organization in a short period of time
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in onboarding, HR coordination, or employee relations
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in HRIS/ATS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in senior care, long-term care, or a CCRC environment
- Proficiency in onboarding platforms.
- Ability to start immediately or with short notice
