HR GeneralistDepartment: Human ResourcesReports To: Director of Human ResourcesLocation: Corporate (Indianapolis) with travel to Marion office (approximately 1 day per month)Salary Range: $50,000 $60,000 annuallyPosition SummaryPhoenix Data Corporation is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations across the organization. This role will focus on recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee support, HR administration, and payroll backup. The HR Generalist will partner closely with the HR Director to help scale HR processes as the company continues to grow.This position is primarily based at the Shadeland office and will require periodic travel (approximately one day per month) to the Marion location to maintain HR visibility and employee support.Key ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & OnboardingCoordinate full-cycle recruiting activities including posting jobs, screening candidates, and scheduling interviewsPartner with hiring managers to support hiring needs and timelinesPrepare offer letters and new hire documentationFacilitate new hire onboarding and orientationEnsure completion of background checks, I-9s, and pre-employment requirementsMaintain applicant tracking system and candidate communicationHR AdministrationServe as a first point of contact for employee HR-related questionsMaintain employee personnel files and HRIS recordsTrack required acknowledgements, policies, and compliance documentationAssist with benefits administration and employee enrollmentsSupport performance review administration and trackingAssist with employee communications and HR initiativesPayroll Support (Bi-Weekly Payroll)Provide backup support for bi-weekly payroll processingReview timesheets and assist with timekeeping questionsTrack PTO balances and employee changes impacting payrollAssist with payroll audits and reporting as neededEmployee SupportSupport employee relations intake and documentationAssist managers with HR processes and formsHelp coordinate training and policy rolloutsParticipate in HR projects and process improvementsTravel RequirementTravel to the Marion office approximately one day per monthProvide on-site HR visibility and employee supportAssist with onboarding, employee questions, and manager support during visitsQualifications25 years of HR experience preferredExperience supporting recruiting and onboardingKnowledge of HRIS systems (ADP preferred)Payroll exposure or willingness to learn payroll processingStrong organizational and follow-through skillsAbility to handle confidential information professionallyExcellent communication and employee support skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Preferred QualificationsExperience in a growing or multi-location organizationExperience supporting hourly and salaried employeesExposure to employee relations and compliance processesHR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) a plus but not requiredPosition TypeFull-time, exempt Phoenix Data Corporation is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
