Senior Human Resources Generalist (LOA coverage)

Senior: Sr. HR Generalist / Benefits (LOA coverage) Location: Tinton Falls, New Jersey Type: Temporary, 6-9 months (temporary maternity coverage) Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Contractor Work Model: Onsite (Tinton Falls, NJ) Note: Remote work is not available. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Sr. HR Generalist / Benefits (LOA coverage) Key Responsibilities: Reports to the Head of Human Resources and supported with two other HR staff members. This is a "Generalist" role with significant concentration on employee relations and leave of absence management (processing FMLA, NJFLA, FLI, TDI, etc.) Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions (including union employees), write-ups, warnings, terminations. Assist with administering FMLA and leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance and proper documentation Help process and respond to unemployment claims and related inquiries Process employment verifications and maintain accurate employee records Partner with managers to address performance concerns and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Maintain organized documentation related to employee relations, leave administration, and compliance Provide HR support to a field-based workforce Sr. HR Generalist / Benefits (LOA coverage) Required Qualifications: 3+ years of HR "generalist" experience from a fast-paced environment Strong background in Employee Relations and leave administration Experience handling workplace investigations and disciplinary actions Knowledge of unemployment claims and employment verifications Experience supporting union employees strongly preferred Ability to work independently with minimal training or ramp-up time Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills High level of discretion and professionalism Sr. HR Generalist / Benefits (LOA coverage) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related is highly preferred Experience in construction, transportation, or similar field-based industries HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus Why This Role Immediate impact role with strong ownership Exposure to a dynamic, field-driven workforce Opportunity to step into a senior-level HR function with autonomy #M1 Ref: #563-Joule Staffing - Toms River
