HR ASSISTANT

Caribbean Food Delights (CFD) a privately owned company, located in Tappan, Rockland County, NY, is the leading manufacturer of Jamaican Style Patties: beef, chicken and vegetable. This state-of -the-art facility, is SQF certified. We are looking for a bi-lingual (English & Spanish ) HR Assistant with minimum one year related experience to provide overall assistance in the HR department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Answer phones for the HR department and respond to questions and inquiries.
• Handle employment application intake.
• Assist with new employee orientations and follow-up paper work processing.
• Perform a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of HR/personnel records and reports.
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employees records and information.
• Assist in the recruitment process; Interact with and supply information to job applicants, employees, department managers, public and private agencies.
• Prepare job postings and post accordingly.
• Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
• Assist the manager with HR projects.
• Assist with benefits administration. FMLA and WC process.
• Provide clerical and operational support to HR Manager.
• Respond to employee inquiries.
• Perform any other HR related duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 1year related experience

Associates Degree or equivalent

Well organized, detail-oriented and accurate

Competent computer knowledge

Familiar with federal and state regulations

Very good customer service and interpersonal skills

Ethical Practice; ability to maintain confidentiality
