Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible; operations may start as early as 6:00 AM)

Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm

Compensation: $57-$63/hr

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced HR Generalist or HR Manager to support a team of approximately 65 employees. This role is open due to a recent resignation and requires someone who can step in quickly to manage day-to-day HR operations while supporting a dynamic production environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working directly with both leadership and production staff in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
• Manage employee relations, addressing workplace concerns, coaching managers, and ensuring a positive work environment
• Oversee and maintain the HRIS system (Paycom), including employee data, payroll coordination, and reporting
• Administer and support benefits programs, including insurance coordination and employee inquiries
• Manage workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely reporting, follow-up, and compliance
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and overall employee lifecycle processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment regulations
• Partner with leadership to support HR initiatives and operational needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5+ years of HR experience (Generalist or Manager level)
• Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS systems (Paycom strongly preferred)
• Strong background in employee relations, recruiting, and HR operations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work fully onsite in a production/manufacturing environment
• Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working with diverse teams
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience with benefits negotiation or vendor management
• Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required)

Pay Details: $57.00 to $62.00 per hour
