- Ability to interact professionally with others and with a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to maintain appropriate relationships with people with disabilities and at-risk adolescents utilizing normalization principles
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of CAU staff, members’ families, and within the community
- Ability to express oneself, both in writing and verbally, in a comprehensive manner, using the English language
- Good planning and organization skills
- Working knowledge of computer software programs including Microsoft Office products
- Ability to be resourceful and work independently
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions and problem-solve
- Ability to deliver effective presentations and training programs
- Ability to maintain and analyze budgets and interpret and analyze financial reports
- Demonstrate responsible leadership, mentoring and role-modeling
- Ability to effectively supervise employees and delegate responsibilities appropriately
- Access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record required
- Implement Agency training and recruitment plans
- Provide Agency trainings as needed
- Attend and offer feedback and reporting in Training Committee
- Assist with the performance management system
- Ensure compliance with licensing, legal, and government mandates regarding employment
- Develop and direct programs that maintain good employee relations
- Act as a Super-user for HRIS systems including recruitment and learning management systems
- Assist with compliance as it relates to Federal and State Regulations
- Assist with unemployment processing and follow up as needed
- Ensure subordinates are properly oriented and trained within the appropriate time frames and compliant with Agency policies and licensing standards
- Conduct timely and thorough employee supervision meetings, documents employee performance, and employee performance appraisals
- Prioritizes tasks and activities and demonstrates good time-management skills
- Actively participates in Agency fund-raising events, committees, staff meetings, and in staff supervision
- Maintain high level of confidentiality
- Cooperate with any Agency, DDD, and DCP&P investigation and inspection
- Ensures compliance with all required state and federally mandated background and exclusion checks including but not limited to criminal history background investigation (fingerprinting), Central Registry, Child Abuse Record Information (CARI), drug testing, and motor vehicle checks.
- Ensures compliance with wearing a mask when mandated by State, Federal, and Licensing authorities during a public health crisis/pandemic.
