WHAT YOU’LL DO
Fluent in both English and Québec French, the Manager, Human Resources serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, translating and adapting HR communications, policies, and documentation to ensure clarity and compliance in both languages. In this role, you will provide guidance on policies, performance management, and complex employee relations matters, applying strong knowledge of employment legislation across multiple Canadian provinces. You will oversee full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing through onboarding, and provide backup support for payroll and benefits administration to ensure continuity and accuracy of key HR processes.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Develops, recommends, implements, and administers human resources policies and procedures for all company employee; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.
- Evaluates, monitors, and recommends Performance Management programs/tools and revises as necessary.
- Serves as a trusted advisor to leadership on employment legislation and compliance (e.g., Employment Standards, Human Rights, employment equity, workplace policies).
- Leads employment equity and Culture and Belonging initiatives, including workforce planning and regulatory reporting where applicable.
- Supervise and manage HR Generalist with their day-to-day job functions.
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, developing talent acquisition strategies to attract, assess, and hire top talent aligned with business objectives and Culture and Belonging commitments.
- Support AVI-SPL Culture. Assess our performance and progress with regards to a team focused culture.
- Creates tracking of departmental and company measurements that support the accomplishment of the company’s strategic goals.
- Manages accurate employee records and employee files.
- Manages a feedback loop on new hire success for employee, internships, and temporary employees
- Manages the offboarding and onboarding process, as well as oversees the maintenance and changes for Onboarding portal.
- Works with the HR regional leadership team to develop strategies and processes for identifying and engaging high potential employees.
- Conducts new manager training and employee relations counseling.
- Provide advisory guidance to management regarding Employee Relations issues, terminations and restructures documentation, employee corrective action and coaching, and performance management.
- Serves as a point of contact for employee issues regarding employees and managers, providing guidance as needed.
- Perform additional tasks, and other responsibilities, and projects needed to support the team and organization, including payroll and benefits back up, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.

- Minimum Five (5) years' Human Resources experience 3 years managing
- Experience working in a matrix organizational environment with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders and business units
- Effective oral and written communication skills

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

VOS RESPONSABILITÉS
Maîtrisant parfaitement l’anglais et le français du Québec, le ou la responsable des ressources humaines agit à titre de conseiller de confiance auprès des gestionnaires et des employés, en traduisant et en adaptant les communications, les politiques et la documentation RH afin d’assurer la clarté et la conformité dans les deux langues. À ce poste, vous fournirez des conseils sur les politiques, la gestion du rendement et les questions complexes liées aux relations avec les employés, en mettant à profit votre solide connaissance de la législation du travail dans plusieurs provinces canadiennes. Vous superviserez le cycle complet du recrutement, de la recherche de candidats à l’intégration, et assurerez un soutien de relève pour l’administration de la paie et des avantages sociaux afin de garantir la continuité et l’exactitude des processus clés des RH.
Responsabilités quotidiennes :
- Élaborer, recommander, mettre en œuvre et administrer les politiques et procédures de ressources humaines pour tous les employés de l’entreprise ; préparer et tenir à jour le manuel des politiques et procédures.
- Évaluer, surveiller et recommander des programmes et des outils de gestion du rendement, et les réviser au besoin.
- Agir à titre de conseiller de confiance auprès de la direction en matière de législation du travail et de conformité (p. ex., normes d'emploi, droits de la personne, équité en matière d'emploi, politiques en milieu de travail).
- Dirige les initiatives en matière d'équité en matière d'emploi, de culture et d'appartenance, y compris la planification de la main-d'œuvre et la production de rapports réglementaires, le cas échéant.
- Supervise et gère le généraliste en ressources humaines dans ses fonctions quotidiennes.
- Supervise le cycle complet de recrutement, en élaborant des stratégies d'acquisition de talents pour attirer, évaluer et embaucher les meilleurs talents en adéquation avec les objectifs de l'entreprise.
Compétences indispensables :
- Au moins cinq (5) ans d’expérience en ressources humaines, dont trois ans à un poste de gestion
- Expérience de travail au sein d’une structure organisationnelle matricielle, avec la capacité d’exercer une influence auprès de multiples parties prenantes et unités opérationnelles
- Excellentes aptitudes à la communication orale et écrite
