Benefits Manager Jobs in Massachusetts
A Benefits Manager in the human resources industry is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing corporate benefits programs, policies, and procedures. They manage compensation and benefits packages, ensuring they are competitive and compliant with legal requirements. Important skills for a Benefits Manager include excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with HR software like HRIS or HRMS. Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws is crucial. Many Benefits Managers hold a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, and some roles may require a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification. Before becoming a Benefits Manager, a person might work as a Human Resources Generalist, Compensation and Benefits Specialist, or Human Resources Manager.
