Labor Relations Specialist Jobs in Indiana

Before becoming a Labor Relations Specialist, a person may have held roles such as Human Resources Assistant, Human Resources Specialist, or Labor Relations Consultant. These roles typically involve gaining experience in dealing with labor relations, managing employee relations, and understanding labor contract compliance. Essential skills for a Labor Relations Specialist include problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities, as well as a keen attention to detail. They should ideally hold a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field, with some positions also requiring a master's degree. In terms of certification, the Labor Relations Certification from the National Labor Relations Board could be beneficial, while certification from the Society for Human Resource Management may also be desired.
Basic Qualifications: Knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws including, but not limited to, Title VI, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, ADEA, etc....
