Organizational Development Manager Jobs

An Organizational Development Manager in the human resources industry is primarily responsible for facilitating changes in an organization to improve performance and effectiveness. They design, develop, and implement strategies to boost productivity, morale, and overall workplace operations. Their responsibilities may include initiating and overseeing leadership development programs, conducting employee training sessions, performing needs assessments, and developing operational guidelines. Essential skills for an Organizational Development Manager include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and a strong knowledge of human behavior and performance. A solid understanding of HR laws and regulations is also crucial. They should also hold a certification like the Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Prior to becoming an Organizational Development Manager, a person may have roles such as Human Resources Specialist, Training and Development Specialist, or HR Generalist.
